I bought a book and it’s so fucking weird, I am 2 1/2 chapters in and I have extremely mixed feelings

When I bought it
I was under the impression the characters were in their early 20s. I thought it was more like New Adult than Young Adult
But no
The characters are 16
They are BABIES
I’m going to have a stroke
Who the fuck told me that it was New Adult because I would like to have a Word
