The Epic of Creation is basically a little propaganda piece for the god Marduk of Babylon. Haha.

Just finished the flood story. Haha. The gods created humans and the humans were so loud and obnoxious that the gods couldn't get any sleep. So they tried to kill them off with a plague and a famine. When that didn't work, they sent the flood. Good thing the god Ea warned Atrahasis to build a boat and the human race survived, since no humans = no sacrifices to the gods = hungry, grumpy gods. Haha.

Reading the Mesopotamian Epic of Creation - gods destroying other gods and Marduk coming out on top. A little different feel than the Old Testament version. ;-)
