Oh man. This guy just wrote about something I’ve been somewhat struggling with. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Hard truth is never fun to read haha. But I’m intrigued about his input on the subject. So many excellent points are being made. 🤣

Awww I really love this chapter. David’s life really is a great example of how striving to be humble is more satisfying than striving to appear powerful. David’s patience and reverence to God protects him from being overcome with jealousy the way his hero and son were.

I have sooo many questions I have to research now 😂

I also didn’t realize how many examples of sibling rivalry there are in the Bible... I didn’t realize two of Jesus’ apostles were His brothers... I didn’t realize the shift in dynamic based on jealousy... What an excellent book!

I have never heard Joseph’s story described in the same light Dr. Kendall describes Joseph’s story in... Haha I have sooo many questions reading this book! I am so glad I feel so convicted to read more into the scriptures to what this author is saying! 🤣

Interesting stuff! I didn’t know the details behind Abel and Cain’s story, but the role of jealousy clarifies them so much! I didn’t realize how jealousy is the root of all sin! I didn’t even see how jealousy played a part in Biblical stories.
