“You’re not his. You’re mine.” She could hear the possessiveness in his voice. He bent his head, captured her mouth in a kiss and drew back. “I need to know you’re okay with that. Okay with being mine.”
Gemma wound her arms around his neck. “More than okay with that.”

“Why do you think I call you Starshine?” he whispered. “You shine brighter than any precious gem. When we first met, you reminded me of the stars on a clear night – bright, beautiful and completely out of my reach.”

“I’m not naked,” she pointed out.
“You’re wearing my clothes, with my scent all over your skin,” he smirked. “And you’re always naked in my head.”
Gemma shook her head. “There’s something wrong with you.”
“I hear that a lot.” He lifted his arm and draped it across her shoulders, tucking her in against his side.”

He rubbed his cheek against hers, heard her breath stutter. His fingers found the top two buttons of the shirt and popped them open, dragging the collar away from her throat.
“Will you forgive me now?”

“I’m here, Gemma. I’m alive.” He caught her hand, pressed her palm against his chest. “Do you feel that?” He waited for her jerky nod. “That’s my heart beating. It beats because of you.” His lips found the curve of her cheek. “It beats for you. Forgive me, Starshine.”

“I’m all yours, Starshine. Do as you will with me.”
Gemma stared down at him, eyes wide. She knew what he was doing. The man beneath her, a dominant wolf, an Alpha in his own right, was going against his nature, handing control of the situation to her. Gemma knew she could easily fall in love with him for it.”

“You need to stop.”
Blue eyes glinted from beneath thick lashes. “You wanted me once.”
“Still do,” he bit out.
“Damien changed everything.”
“He changed nothing.” Her hips rocked up against him, and he growled. “You’re killing me, Starshine.”
“I need this, Deacon,” she whispered. “I need you to do this for me.”
