How are you liking the book thus far? Have been planning to start it for ages! (The last time I did, I just couldn't tolerate it)

I have mixed feelings about this one, there is a lot of things going around and the sheer unpredictability of the events sometimes does not make sense in the beginning but as the novel progress and you start to get the overall arc of the family, the magical realism started to make sense. I still can't give you a complete impression of it, but it is definitely not a novel which can suit every palate.
