This looks like an interesting book, I've been reading early church father books recently, it would be good to have an overview of some of their lives. Let me know if this does a good job giving context to these men.

I haven't come back to the book since you commented, but I would recommend it as a simple summary.

This is a book I come back to in between books, or when the mood strikes me. I like the fact that it has short biographical sketches. It is certainly more of an introduction and it's anything exhaustive (or exhausting* for that matter).
