Never realised how depressing this book is. Being in a 17 year old's head while shes dealing with the weight of the world on her shoulders and being manipulated left and right isnt fun lmao. Thank god nikolai brings SOME comic relief lol

Why am i kinda shipping nikolai and alina... they would be cute hihi. Fedyor isnt on the darklings side i didnt remember that. thats interesting for his relationship with ivan in the show i wonder what they will do...

Mal and nikolai fighting... too much testosterone like calm DOWN. I was like alina during that fight : done with their bullshit. I like that the book shows that nikolai wants to save his country but also wants POWER. Hes kinda being a little shit but his decisions make sense, mal's the one who cant control himself its annoying lol. Hes self centered i feel but at the same time i understand him... ugh im frustrated.

- Nikolai radiates the same energy as Kaz Brekker and i cant for the life of me understand why and how.
- Genyalina broke my heart yet again but that was expected.
- Tamar is very clearly stated to be a lesbian and idk how i didnt see that until book 3 (in my defense alina too but thats probably because she cant fathom anyone not being obsessed with mal ugh)

I already hate mal and he hasnt even done anything wrong yet. The darkling sucks, like always. Never noticed how much alina was insecure, its kinda annoying how she always puts herself down while praising mal. "Then Genya leans over, more beautiful than ever" Do u seriously expect me not to ship genyalina when all alina can do when she sees genya is be startstruck by her beauty? Thats all for now
