History is the continuous process of interaction between the Historian and his facts, an unending dialogue between the present and the past.
He sees History as essentially a subjective process and it seems quite reasonable as History is on one side and the past on another. History is the study of of the Past NOT the past itself and any study depends on the one who studies. Except maybe in mathematics or maybe not.
