Amazing how much is known about the age of sail. Back in the day it was starboard or larboard, port being an advancement over similar sounds with opposite meanings from the late 1800’s.
The author suggests that if Nelson had had the four Frigates he was supposed to have, Buonaparte would have been killed or captured in 1798 invading Egypt. The Frigates would have found the French and a British decisive victory.
