I really like the illustrations! Also they introduce so many Targaryens at once and even with the family tree next to me I'm not certain who characters are in relation to each other 😬😂

Oh my! I might read Fire and Blood first then, since that is all about the Targaryens... although it only covers the first half (since I think there is supposed to be another book in this series), so maybe it wouldn’t help. 😅. I know a little bit about earlier Targaryens but not much. You can probably Google them without getting spoiled since it’s all stuff that happened before A Game of Thrones.
