I think Val and I are correct to be suspicious of Trevor, and more than that, I think he's a mage demon. I'm wondering why Val doesn't suspect that, too. Reading more will tell me if I'm correct, and since I plan to avoid sleep until I finish this story, I hope to know soon. :)

Wow! So Val and Shade had sex ("off-screen," so to speak, as this is a YA book), as did Fang and Princess! Are there hellhound puppies in our futures? Oh, I hope so! Trevor did turn out to be a mage demon, and Val turned out to be the books' new Keeper (after Shade freed the previous Keeper from the books). This latter gives her back all the powers she lost by having sex and then some! Exciting stuff!

I'm also very curious about the voice Val is hearing: is it the books or the guy supposedly trapped inside them? I can't wait to find out! :)

I started this last night, but was too sleepy to update my status before sleep...So far, we're off to a great start! I'm really enjoying reading about Fang and the rest. I'm curious about Trevor, too, and think Val is right to not trust him. Only reading more will tell me if our suspicions are correct! :)
