Ohmygod Mick's entrance was hilarious - everyone but his 5 kids saw him and were gawking at him while all the Riva kids were all over the place and none the wiser

June's descent into the ugly parts of alcoholism was really tough to read about. She truly deserved better - I keep hoping for her to get help and end up living but I have a feeling it's the drink that will end up killing her

And I'm starting to see why ppl preferred the flashbacks - while the first few chaps did set up the siblings very well as individuals they become a unit as the present day story continues. They don't stand out like their parents do as characters tbh

Excuse meee TJR you can mention Evie's gf by name but not Evie herself?? Also damn missed opportunity for the kids to know their second stepmother (even though it was for a day) but like imagine them growing up with Aunt Evelyn, the power the Riva kids would hold then

June deserved SO MUCH BETTER but I'm also glad he left, she needed to see who she is without him and how wonderful she is without that asshat
