Way better than I expected. Rambles into tangents, jumps around with abandon, some needless internal thoughts, and shifts into kind of screenplay notes and details, and yet that all plays out in a charming rather than annoying fashion.
At it’s best, the dialog is sharp and it rattles along in an unpretentious, top end crime fiction way.
Loving it.
