I love how jean isn’t just fighting this threat by getting into and access people’s minds, but because she understands them (“I’ve been in enough heads to know people aren’t truly evil”), she knows what to show to change them & she knows the weaponising of truth will end all threats. She’s smart, very calculating and not someone to be messed with. Taylor has revolutionised JeAn’s character for me.

ahhh the threat is closing in, Nova has world leaders implanted with this sentient nanite and idkbhow the team will get out of this one.

happy storm is ok and on the team. Quite fun to travel to Atlantis and Namor; he isn’t a character I care for at all lol, so let’s see if Taylor changes my mind!!

in this issue we see a mutant murder at the hands of anti-mutant protestors, trinary can control sentinels !!! Now THAT changes the game and we learn anti-mutant hate might be being encouraged/programmed worldwide

jean n the xmen go to India to save Trinary, a mutant who is a technopath and is held in confinement due to using her mutant ability to fight back against the patriarchal pay gap. I love it, as it shows jean and her xmen are all about never leaving a single mutant behind. It’s what I loved about Taylor’s ANW run and it’s nice to see he’s carried it here. Gabby is just as fun, wish Laura felt the same!!

… at the UN, It seems jean is making progress & can offer some rebuttal on why mutants can’t just live in their land; why mutants, as a minority group facing constant persecution, must have a representative in the un and so on.

Then, disaster strikes. The ambassador for the UK comes outside (public!!), speaks to jean and then her head explodes; everyone witnesses this happen & jean looks like the prime suspect

so issue 1 sees Jean contemplate how she can move mutant-human relationships forward as she can sense, across the world, a growing anger and division between the two. The relationship between human and mutant kind is only getting more strained. She seeks out the greatest minds, “once in a generation” minds actually, to come up with her proposal. We don’t know what this is yet, but she takes it to the un

jean is alive and readjusting herself to a world that is both different to the one she had before and very much the same (partic. with mutants still being hated despite all they do for society). My favourite parts were seeing the absolutely joy on the x-men’s faces to be reunited, to tell her all they’ve done & achieved. Obv I loved jean going to meet Gabby and Laura, and how she’s maintained wolv conn there
