I've been tempted to DNF several times because there's a lot of info dump in the first half of the book, and I feel like it could have been edited better. Very dense worldbuilding that gets confusing at times. I read a couple of reviews that said the first book isn't as strong as the rest of the series so I might just skim until the end and try to read the second book because that has a trope that I'm interested in.
