I love this book so much. It really is showing the progression of the protagonist questioning her sexuality and genuinely not understanding why she feels the way she does. I haven’t seen much trans representation in this book, but it was written in 2003, so I can’t fault the author too much. I do know she wrote a book about a trans woman in 2004, though. I plan on reading that next.

I’ve finally gotten to the part of the book I was dreading. The blatant homophobia in the school is disappointing but expected.

I’m falling in love with this book. It really is a story of coming out to yourself instead of coming out to others, and I can imagine several people in the community can relate.

I’m loving the classic conflict of parents wanting their children to go to college when they’re not even sure they want to go in the first place.

Speed is still quite fast, but I’ve got the bearing of the writing
