So far, pretty disappointed. Jumps right into the action of the protests at the Democratic National Convention. But very little context to give the reader reasons to care about this event and the characters’ roles. Then, the protagonist is sent to get change for $10 so she goes to a bank and she completely misses Bobby Seale’s speech. Big missed opportunity there. Then rioting starts and she walks home.

I appreciate many aspects of this book and what the author is doing. But I’m not finding it enjoyable to head. All the characters feel very flat. Lots of telling instead of showing in the narration. Minimal plot.
