Rawlings who? Just read this book by Ann McCutchan and you will find out. Not done yet - give me a couple of days. Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings is the REAL DEAL. When I was a kid back in the 40s and 50s The Yearling was my favorite MOVIE. Still is BUT now I must read her book and others she wrote.
