Was it actually good or just awkward? Booktok makes this seem like the juiciest guilty pleasure but that cover makes me laugh.

With the caveat that I read a relative lot of romance/erotica and fanfic porn, and am also at least twice as old as the median age of Booktokers (or whatever they're called, I'm hip and with it) ... this was one of the most bizarre reading experiences I've had this year. I actually left the book unrated because I didn't know what to do with it! It is a brainless porn book, but I was also at points genuinely interested in the paper thin plot?? It's definitely very heteronormative and ridiculous and you'd be well served to look up content warnings, but aside from the weird dubcon beginning, like.... the dude comes off as way less aggro and rapey than a lot of "serious" m/f romance I've read with anger issue asshole earls and whatever. I have no desire to read more but this was an Experience.

tl;dr you could do better on AO3 and you could do worse browsing mainstream romances, although those probably don't have literal soulbonding worms.
