I feel it takes a bit of a dip in the middle where the structure shifts from loose fairytales to a more cohesive narrative. In that moment it becomes less ephemeral, less unpredictable and whimsical and more like a traditional fantasy story, just with shorter chapters and more switching of viewpoints.
