I didn’t fully understand the conversation between Death and White Phoenix.

This story was written for the Classic X-Men series (issue #43) so it has a few more years of back story than I have knowledge of right now.
Maybe once I catch up, it’ll make more sense.

It does have spoilers for the Madelyne / Mister Sinister story line but luckily, I already know about that.

Interviews from the people who worked on this story line. I really just skimmed them.
There were a LOT of blacking out certain words.

The concept cover art was cool. Though, they REALLY wanted the fifth member to stay a secret!

There was also an alternative to the scene where Jean meets the Phoenix force for the first time and...it’s a lot creepier than what was published!

These pages were kinda like the extended (or maybe the original?) version of the conversation between Jean Grey and the entity that would be The Phoenix.

I liked the simple exchange we saw in Fantastic Four #268 but I will say, you could feel the weight of Jean’s decision more in this version.

X-Factor #1 -
First of all, Scott is a lousy husband. He doesn’t help Madelyne with the baby then when he finds his (ex?) girlfriend is alive, he just WALKS OUT on her!!

Of course that isn't the focus. The OG team have come back together under the name X-Factor!
To the world, they're a company who people can call to report on mutants.
Really, they will take mutants in to help them control their powers.

Fantastic Four #286 -
Jean Grey is back! Honestly, out of all the weird explanations I’ve read, this one wasn’t bad.

I liked the conversation between Jean and the entity.
I thought it was interesting that it knew there was a possibility it could become corrupted.

Nothing much more I can think of to say about this story that changed the X-Men’s history forever.

Avengers #263 -
Setting the stage, getting all the pieces together.

I liked that team members did not immediately take to Namor and Namor was not instantly perfect at working as part of a team.

Of course this issue wasn’t about team partnerships, it was about the cocoon at the bottom of Jamaica Bay!
It wasn’t revealed to the Avengers but shown to the readers who exactly was wrapped up in that capsule...
