So I'm going to Iraq to work. Can someone recommend me some good Iraq based reading. Either travel books or a story which is based there?

Thesiger's Marsh Arabs is fantastic, although the marsh no longer exists, so no visiting it. A Hundred And One Daysby Åsne Seierstad is also good. I have a few more Iraq based books, but haven't read them yet, but they are well reviewed. Iraq would be excellent to visit. Are you digging?
Hi Daren, ive read all of Thesigers writing ... love it but im glad you think it was great too. Have you seen his photography? Theres a book of it available to buy. Its brilliant!
No, haven't come across any of his photography books, but I always have an eye out for anything of his that comes up cheap.
