All my new friend requests come with the message, "hi 7619789" (I figured it out: it's my user profile URL.) The profiles seem legit, but it means the request wasn't sent by a person, right?

Right. I've been getting those on a daily basis for months now. They're scammers.

I get so many of those friend requests it's been doing my head in actually. They're bots, so ignore them. Alternatively, accept every one and you'll double your friends list overnight! ;)
