Thoughts so far:
Author refers to snowmachines as snowmobiles which is not the terminology used in Alaska.
Also, named a school building "Chinook" and hinted it was from an Alaskan indigenous language. That word actually is part of the Chinookian language originated by Chinook people located near the Columbia River in the lower 48.
I'm going to continue reading though. Not decided if I will finish.
