Keep reading this slowly, but steadily. Generally speaking, I like it, but I would be happier if there were fewer explorers covered (in lengthier passages), in order to get more into their adventures. Additionally, I believe that a great ommission is the lack of maps. Every adventure should have its correspondent map to make things easier for the reader.
