holy fuck what is this book doing to me, i'm fucking losing my mind. this genuinely shouldn't make me hurt this much.

i think i've probably grown past the phase in my life where i enjoyed these books, but listening to the audiobook is a nice distraction. but, simon saying "there he is, that's my boy" when arguing with baz genuinely made me stop and have to look at a wall for a bit and i don't even know why. everything else is a bit cheesy but this one line really hurts for some reason, fuck.
