If it weren't for the trailer for the film explaining something that's been bugging me for about 25 years, I'd never even pick this up again and try to read it. Paul and his dreams: did I really have to wait for a trailer to tell me what they were about? I've started this book hundreds of times and have never made it 50 pages into it . . .

Okay, finally started this "must-read classic" before the movie comes out. This will be my umpteenth time diving in . . . Here's hoping I make it past page 50 . . .

Been stuck somewhere between pages 5-55 over the last four decades, for crying out loud! Just noted I added Dune to the database here Christmas Eve, 2013. Not sure why, except to say the copy I have now is about the sixth time I've owned the novel without ever completing it.
