"The French, what with their guillotines and one thing and another, were the worst kind of foreigners, and it was no use being surprised at them behaving queerly."
Mais bien sûr, c'est connu, nous les Français nous sommes tous fous!

I've started so many books over the last few months, but Life keeps getting in the way, and none of them have been able to hold my attention long enough to finish them. So to put an end to this reading block, I'm turning to my tried-and-true Georgette Heyer and reading a novel by her that I haven't read before!!! I haven't been this excited in a while about a book :D SO GOOD!

I think I tried to read this once, a forgettable while ago, and I wasn't very interested in the talisman ring either. It felt like a distraction from the main attraction.

Yeah the mystery is kind of obvious and the romance more fun. I think she realized that because then the Regency romances started coming with Regency Buck and never stopped.

I definitely prefer it when the comedy revolves around the romance, but it's very enjoyable nonetheless.
