This 2nd to last ep packed an emotional punch. Reliving some of those last days. Learning that I didn’t know the half of what was going on behind that iron curtain.

Very well done so far. As someone who was pretty deep on the inside when all this went down, I’m learning there was a lot more involved than i had known.

Donald Is this a book? I thought it was only a podcast

Liam Yeah. It’s a podcast. I put podcasts on my goodreads list occasionally. Guess I’m kinda cheating..

Richard Lawrence Listening to episode 5, whilst I agree that there was a lot wrong in what Mark Driscoll was saying I’d argue that the feminist counter position presented isn’t a good alternative.

Liam I’ve only listened to the first couple. Didn’t know they released a fifth. Thought it was only four.

Richard Lawrence The 5th came out this week and it's clearly not the last one, not sure how many more they're planning.

The presentation and research behind this is good but over the last couple of episodes there's been a few increasing indications that the theological perspective of the host is not solidly evangelical or reformed.

Liam Ah interesting. I’m not familiar with the hosts at all. Hmm. There has definitely been a lot of over-correction in response to Driscoll. However, lots of good and necessary correction as well. A lot of folks who were leaders no longer even call themselves Christians. Others now endorse open theism/process theology. Sometimes I wonder whether as many people left Christianity altogether as became followers of Jesus there. Its not quite that bad - but it might be close. It’s very sad. I’m still processing it all a bit. Hearing the pod, I’m amazed with what I was ok with in some of the things he said. However - it wasn’t as predominant as the podcast is presenting it - and a lot of the church - myself included - weren’t aware of many of the things here shown. But yeah. It’s an interesting listen to be sure.
