I love the start of this book, traditional middle class family looking forward to the Christmas season, despite the tragic murder of their daughter, the story jogs along very nicely until the couple return from their holiday in Egypt, and the pale face of an unknown woman appears at the attic window. From this moment forward, the story becomes simply the most horrendous horror story you will ever imagine.
