This book could have been a blog post. The author relies on increasingly obfuscating writing to hide the fact that she really doesn’t have that much to say. The ideas in the book (how precariousness is generated in our neoliberal economies and how we might begin to imagine a better world) are noteworthy, but the writing is essentially academic jargon sprinkled with synonyms for the same concepts.
