Rather a snooze thus far. As with BLOODROSE HOUSE, I can't understand why the author insists on writing in third person. Her first person voice in NORTHWATER was highly nuanced & added real tension to a 'quiet' gothic. Why didn't she write that style again? >:( These other books waffle on about cozy British Isle villages...and not much else.
