Fisher has a lot of true things to say about the recent state of music. So much of what is put out these days is a reconfiguration of forms from the past, and material conditions are not conducive to an artistic sub-culture which is capable of innovation. However, Mark falls into his old traps of moralising about and giving agency to such malleable notions as "neoliberalism" and "social democracy".
