The main character is a know-it-all and slightly off-putting. I appreciate a lot of the world-building but the pop references can be distracting. The idea that everyone spends their money on avatar add-ons, essentially ones and zeros, point out how we view material possessions.

I don't like that he hacked his way to discover what Artemis looked like. That is a violation of her privacy.

In another book, Halladay would be the real enemy. This really shows how nostalgia has a devastating effect on crippling originality in the culture. I'm not sure if this is the overall point of the book, but I can't stop thinking about it.

This DeLorean/Ghostbusters/Knight Rider hybrid is hideous. Is this to highlight the lack of originality that they have?
