Boring. I’ve read two fiction books by Gideon: both are memorable: creative, richly described, filled with believable (fictional!) characters I care about. This one, strangely enough, is autobiographical and I don’t care (real people—I am abhorrent!). I think it’s the episodic nature of it. It’s more a collection of essays, life thoughts. Not deeply relatable to me.
