This is beautifully written and both incredibly easy and incredibly hard to read. It flows, and carries you along like a charming fairytale... until your adult perspective interposes itself and suddenly you are gasping and fighting to stay afloat in a current that is more turbulent than it seemed... and there are things with teeth in the water.
