I'd like to hear that excuse myself! Men certainly can come up with some doozies.

Are you ready to hear it? It was for her own good! Men! I'm still at the beginning of the book and she hasn't found out that he lied to her yet, but I hope she hits him with a shovel when she does.

For her own good?! I HATE that excuse in books and I HATE it in real life! If she doesn't hit him with a shovel, maybe someone will hit her with one and knock some sense into her.

I hope y'all will forgive me if I come across as just a lil hostile today :)

Okay, here's what she did: she called him names and punched him in the face, yay! She's really mad at him now, but we all know she's going to forgive him in the end. After all, this is Romancelandia and we've got to have that sweet HEA, right? ;)

That's a good point, Catherine. I'm afraid I'm a bit sexist: I can't forgive men hitting women, but I'm OK with the other way around - probably because a woman isn't usually strong enough to cause any physical damage to a man. Hmmm, I need to adjust my mindset to the 21st century... ;P

Haha! I'm a bit sexist too. I frown on girls hitting guys, but it's not quite the deal breaker that a guy hitting a girl would be.
