The main character is unbelievable. She’s supposed to be smart enough to be valedictorian, to have a father who explicitly taught her about the dangers of their society - and yet she has no clue when her behavior is dangerous? She never intended to be subversive , it just happened? And now, in her exile, all she wants to do is conform and get it over with, completely helpless and bland?
