With the Centennial anniversary of the birth of The Great Bird of the Galaxy, Gene Roddenberry, coming up, I figured I would honor this with a reading of the fictional history of one his greatest creations - the United Federation of Planets.

I had to wonder, at one point, if I was reading fiction or future predictions in an early chapter of the book, when they talk about Anti-Intellectualism movement of 2030s.
