I totally liked the first book in this series and I love the references to video games. The Mage Trials are similiar to VR-Games, but the ‚player‘ can be injured or die. This kind of exam is for prestige only. Sad. But there‘re secrets. Deadly secrets. One is Mads herself. And now it seems Luke too. I like him. He‘s a 🧸. His heritage is unknown. What is his connection to this realm with deadly shadows?
