Well, there are good points and bad points. The good points are the epic geekiness and descriptions of cons (both good and bad). The bad points are Gaines' stereotyping of black women friends. If a white author pulled this nonsense we'd be up in arms. Stick to geek stuff; makes for a cuter story.
