Is it only slow or weaker than House on the Borderland ? Hodgson couldnt never be a challenge for me even when he is slow.

The prose and narrative styles of this book are appalling. This is not a patch on "House on the Borderland". It's hard to believe it's the same author.
Wow that doesnt sound good. Your review makes me worried because of how similar our taste in this kind of writer,stories are.
Some people don't appear to mind the style too much and can enjoy the underlying story. Maybe you will be one of them?
