So, I think this book is actually about Hans Urs von Balthasar trying to situate Gregory of Nyssa as some kind of answer to Heidegger and phenomenology, which explains why Gregory himself makes more sense than von Balthasar.

Slowly getting easier to read. Less anachronistic than his "Cosmic Liturgy" Book (or, I suppose, I just agree with his argument in this text more than in that one).

It is a sad day when a text meant to explain a given author makes a great deal less sense than the author himself.
