I won't be making progress on this book for a while because it is packed up and being shipped home.

I am enjoying some of Shakespeare's writing – the bits I can understand. I want to enjoy it, I mean, he is one of the most famous writers in the history of the world and has been celebrated as a genius for 400 years; it's just difficult to get into something you can't always read because the language is so different from ours ... or maybe I'm just not poetically minded – or too dim!

I am not into poetry and this was a previous DNF. I am on Volume I, which is the really old stuff: Spenser, Donne, Shakespeare, etc. I had to skip some Spenser – he does go on! :-D
Hopefully, I'm not just a Philistine – I hope to appreciate it more as I go along.
