The story is fine, fun, if a bit early 80s/late 70s machismo fantasy pulp. But this Penguin Random House Audio recording is a terrific performance by Dennis Boutsikaris completely ruined by ridiculous and jarring musical additions that neither compliment nor match the story. It’s like somebodies mother was asked to choose the music and just picked random instrumentals. Pretty much ruins each transition in the book
