Eserine was quite technical and an apparent unique choice for Agatha Christie (or other crime novelists). Though the book is only 289 pages long in actual text, it is not the easiest of reads, due to the technical aspect. After reading 'eserine', I need a little break, though... next up is 'hemlock' and how it's used in one of my favourite Christies.

Belladonna and cyanide. It's still lighthearted and amusingly written, but the information about cyanide does include Zyklon B and it's taken very seriously, which I very much appreciate.

Somewhat more scientific and technical than I expected (I have very limited knowledge of chemistry, but the lighthearted tone, the examples and connection with/to Agatha Christie is a delight. A is for arsenic was the first full chapter. Onto B is for belladonna!
