I predicted the "plot twist" in this around the 30% mark lol. But I like some of the characters, slightly, so I'm sticking it out. I just really want to be wrong and have the plot play out less predictably. Thus far, I feel like my intelligence is questioned, as the answer has been all but spelled out up to this point. I saw one thing that surprised me a bit whilst skimming, but that's all. 🥲

I renewed my loan on this book because I felt like I'd miss out on something great by not reading it.
I'm about a quarter of the way through and nothing at all has happened. I never skim books, but I skimmed this one, and it looks like nothing continues to happen well past the halfway mark...
So I'm currently struggling, wondering if I should add yet another book to my dnf list.
