Evening starts is the thrid and final installment of the blackberry island series. This is the first book I've read of the three.

I had a hard time connecting with the characters and the narrative seemed to bounce around a lot.

I generally do not prefer books when the characters have a past together – so that may be part of it.

I really wanted to like to this book – I prefer the fools gold series
