I'm really enjoying it so far. I've read a section of the "peace" bits and a section of the "war" bits. I find both sections equally readable and compelling. I thought I would struggle with the characters too, but so far managing on keeping tabs on who's who. This edition is also pretty good and accessible for modern readers.
