Didn't know this author before and was hooked by the beautiful yet mysterious cover. The writing is pretty good. And while the story progresses slowly I like the way the book is build. Amplifies the insecure and lost MC.
What confuses me at this point is that it is historically set in London and suddenly the lore around the paranormal elements is taken from Japanese myths and legends. Have to see where that leads.
